VQ58 concept takes off

… motoryachts, we are used to receiving all kinds of requests. These included wishes related to propulsion, layout, superstructure, equipment, level of finishing, personalisation and the use of various materials. The new VQ58 concept was therefore based on a systematic analysis of the many requests plus growing demands for a larger boat.
Wide choice of options
Three alternatives of a 58-foot aluminium hull, called Open, Wheelhouse and T-top, were designed and developed based on this concept. Click here for more visual material. Several layouts are available within these variants according to the wishes of owners. Naturally, there is space aft or at the sides for a garage to fit a Williams tender or the new VQ11 waterscooter that is currently under development (click here for images).
Superlative comfort
The new design is clearly drawn by Guido de Groot and incorporates all the typical VQ characteristics, such as comfortable seating and reclining space for 23 people, a very safe and convenient walkaround, and an unrivalled sailing performance. The alfresco breakfast or dinner space around a table for 10 on the aft deck is a unique experience on a 58-foot motoryacht and shows just how much space this extraordinary model has.
The yacht features twin 600 hp Cummins engines as standard and can optionally be equipped with twin Volvo IPS950 engines. Both systems are delivered with joystick controls. Clients looking for an even more serious turn of speed can opt for twin MAN V8 1200 hp engines with surface drive propulsion.
First delivery
The layout of the interior can be completely adapted to client wishes. Owners who wish to take their boat on longer trips can opt for a full-beam master suite, a VIP/guest cabin for two persons and two well-equipped bathrooms, for instance – but other options are available too. The yacht provides plenty of storage space for sea bobs, paddle boards, diving equipment and other water toys. You can see some of the different alternatives here.
We have already received orders for all variants of the VQ58. The first will be delivered in May 2019.
