Red carpet days in Cannes

It lasted six days and attracted thousands of visitors: the 2022 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival was a real success for Vanquish as…
…our sales team welcomed countless people to our stand and gave many personal tours of the VQ58 T-Top and VQ40 we had on display. It was wonderful to see people’s faces light up as they walked along the quay and saw our boats ‘in the flesh’. To then get chatting with these visitors and show them what a Vanquish driver’s boat looks and feels like was great fun.

A red-carpet event like Cannes also attracts clients who are coming to sign on the dotted line for a new order or discuss their final ideas before doing so. In this respect too, Cannes was a considerable success, the fruits of which will be seen on the waters of Europe, the States and beyond in the years ahead. The sheer diversity of orders and enquiries illustrates how our ability to offer everything from complete custom creations in aluminium to personalised powerboats in composite is a winning formula.

Fast forward to the future with the VQ70

There was a notable surge of interest in Cannes for the VQ70, the first three orders for which are already in. The launch model will be…

… a VQ70 T-Top with 2 x 2000 hp Man engines with waterjet drives which we are custom building for American clients to sail around Miami and the Bahamas. The immediate popularity of the VQ70 – which is also available in a hard-top version – proves that this logical extension of the best-selling VQ58 will meet an increasing market demand for larger day boats and weekenders.

Our futuristic take on mixing style with power, the VQ70 is a speedy superyacht that offers you the best of both worlds. It has lots of outdoor space for eating, lounging and partying plus fabulous facilities and accommodation when you fancy escaping from it all for a couple of nights. A choice of engines and propulsion systems are available, with a starting speed of 35 knots rising to 50 knots if you add waterjet drives into the equation.

We’ll also throw in two garages to house two VQ11s or a VQ11 and a rib tender plus your wave boards, diving gear and anything else you’d like to carry onboard in order to enhance your watersports fun … Get in touch to discuss how your bespoke VQ70 might look like.

Captivating new brand movie

VQ-movie-1
The Vanquish media team have created a striking new film that captures the essence of our brand in a unique way. They started with the premise that…
VQ-movie-3
… there’s no such thing as a humdrum day for the privileged owners of a VQ driver’s boat. After all, our aluminium yachts are custom-built for ultra-demanding clients who share our disdain for traditional thinking.
VQ-movie-3
The filmmakers went on to create a journey into the imagination as they considered what kind of date owners might make with a VQ. While all Vanquish clients are unique individuals with unique demands, many take pleasure in embracing life to the max. Turn up the volume and take a deep dive into our short movie here.

A new wave of VQ45 action is here

The VQ45 was the driver’s boat that started the Vanquish journey many years ago and continues to motivate clients to take bold steps. The latest VQ45 premiere is a Veloce model fitted with…

… outboard engines that is easily capable of reaching 62 knots at full throttle. The first VQ45 Hard Top Outboard Veloce has been built for a highly knowledgeable boater who sought a bespoke Vanquish to add to his fleet. The request for a hard-top model reflects its intended use in sunny Florida and the Bahamas, as well as in New York and Maine with their less predictable weather. Along with an automated bimini, the deck layout gives a choice between dining al fresco or semi-outside with airco while offering shelter against rain and wind.

Stepped hull

Retaining the core DNA of the original VQ45 in terms of aesthetics, a below-the-waterline redesign has included the creation of a stepped hull. Developed with Mercury Marine, the propulsion of this first VQ45 Hard Top features quad Verado V12 outboard engines, each providing a stupendous 600 hp. During sea trials this blend of smart design & engineering and 2,400 hp of power saw the boat attain 62 knots even with lots of weight onboard.

This blistering speed and awesome acceleration is matched by exceptional course stability. The impressive safety and security are combined with superior handling, using the joystick controls for very precise low-speed handling, while the Mercury Skyhook digital anchor keeps the boat in place at the push of a button.

A reimagined layout has led to larger seating areas on the aft and foredeck, while two boarding doors make for easy access to the sea and all the owners’ equipment and toys. A luxurious interior includes bespoke windows in the hull, a fine extra touch on a yacht that’s ideal both for experienced clients and adventure seekers looking to step up to the plate of motorboat ownership for the first time. A new wave of VQ45s in both hard top and T-top versions is just around the corner.

VQ115 Veloce well on track

Production is continuing at a rapid pace on the largest Vanquish built to date as we head towards the delivery date of spring 2023. This 35-metre masterpiece….

…is currently in the paint shop being given her livery by our coating experts. Next in line to make their mark on VQ history by working on the launch model VQ115 Veloce will be our interior craftsmen. They will start fitting and finishing the very latest changes that the design team have implemented with the owners to ensure a glamorous interior that matches their preferences in every respect.

And then will come perhaps the most exciting moment of the whole project as we take the completed superyacht out on the water for her first test drive. This is always a big deal with any build so imagine how everyone will feel when they see whether the target has been met – to create the world’s fastest aluminium yacht over 30 metres with ‘normal’ diesel engines (i.e. non-turbine-driven). Will the three MTU-Rolls-Royce 2650s and the surface drives power the VQ115 Veloce to an exceptional speed of 50 knots? Watch this space!

Two garages

Inspired by the experience and fresh ideas of a repeat client, the VQ115 Veloce will be a remarkable tri-deck powerboat in many other ways too. Deflectors in the bottom shell will direct the spray aft to ensure optimal performance and major efficiency at top speeds. Two gyro stabilisers will further enhance comfort levels on this smart blend of a race boat and luxury yacht. She has two garages carrying a VQ16 and a VQ11, an enormous capacity for outdoor fun along with accommodations for up to eight guests and four crew.

With three orders already in and talks at an advanced stage with various other potential owners, the VQ115 is set to change the way speed freaks see powerboats in this size. Frankly, we can’t wait to let you see the first model on the water… Not long now!

Hot off the press: Vanquish Magazine #7

The new benchmark being set by the VQ115 is obviously discussed in depth in the seventh edition of the Vanquish Lifestyle Magazine. This annual publication was…

… launched as usual at the Cannes Yachting Festival and was again very well received. There are lots of branded magazines out there in the yachting world so we really do go the extra mile to make sure the Vanquish version is as distinctive as the boats we build.

The 2022 edition deploys some superb photography to showcase the entire Vanquish range from the VQ11 upwards. There are interviews with some of the key players in their creation, including designer Guido de Groot, an in-depth look at the art of aluminium, and a host of features exploring the kind of lifestyle elements that appeal to you and your peers. Check out the digital version here or pick up a paper copy at one of the boat shows at which Vanquish will be in attendance, starting with….

Fast delivery assured for VQ55 Sports Line

The success of our composite range is set to be further boosted with the development of the new VQ55 Sports Line Speed Master. This outboard version features…

… five 600 Mercury V12 600 hp engines and a top speed of 72 knots. The composite VQ55 was developed for people seeking shorter construction times who don’t have the kind of one-off requirements seen on custom-built aluminium VQs. That said, the options for personalisation remain huge on this unique centre console boat which is also available with 2 x 1200 hp inboard diesel engines with MJP water jets.

The VQ55 Sport Line has accommodation for four guests to sleep below deck in two spacious cabins with their own bathrooms. On deck you will find a fully equipped galley with fridge, wine coolers, countertop and everything else you could ever need to chill out with up to 14 friends and family in total comfort.
